I know that most here are already cbj's but was curious if anyone will be attending the judging class in Salisbury on 2/27. Its a 4 hour drive for me.....I cant do meadow creeks class on 4/9, so its over bridge for me this weekend.

I have no idea what to expect...

Well I made it and survived :D , seriously..... why doesn't Maryland have signs at bridges stating "bridge freezes before road".......apparently people in Howard and Ann Arundel Co. need that reminder :o passed/detoured 8 bridge related accidents this morning...... geesh.

Well I went to the judging class....met alot of friendly people. After leaving, I realized that judging is just a subjective as I thought . I did pick up a few tips and got to "properly cooked" brisket, although Mike told me it wasn't his normal comp brisket, good anyways IMO

That's ok.......I'm not sure how much judging I'll do.

As I sat in the class today I thought to myself , Man I would have rather been out w/Mike and crew picking his brain, I love being near a smoker. I did get a chance to meet/talk with Mike....although I was disappointed not to see his nice shiny pit :D .......had to use his Lang because of capacity issues I believe.

I'm glad I did it...

You could post signs all day long in MD, no matter what county, folks dont read them, more importantly, they dont pay them any attention, they're for the other guy, not them, they are too important and in too much of a hurry to be bothered by an icey bridge!
